My name is Oghenekaro Oboido, Senior DevOps Engineer with Unicard LTD, where I provision solutions that power the transportation infrastructure of the United Kingdom. I get it, the jacket is ugly but I am proud to be an AWS Golden Jacket holder, meaning I am 1 of only 100 cloud gurus in the world to have completed all of AWS's certifications.
I was once where you are, making a start in the field of tech and all things DevOps. I didn't have a technical background – I had spent 10 years in the military – before making the pivot into DevOps.
When IBT Learning first launched its DevOps program years ago, I was one of the inaugural students. With my experience working in the industry, I returned to expand the DevOps curriculum at IBT Learning, adding many hands-on projects and defining a clearer roadmap for the program. I have since trained over 400 DevOps students, helping launch their DevOps careers.
